About

I’m a hands-on Fractional CTO and technical product builder with two decades of experience building digital products and ten years operating as a CTO and Board Director.

I help companies when their technology needs clearer direction, stronger delivery or a practical turnaround. That might mean defining a technical strategy, stabilising an ageing platform, improving security and reliability, reducing cloud costs, preparing for investment or helping a team ship an important product. I'm as comfortable in the boardroom as I am in the codebase; explaining technical choices clearly to investors and senior stakeholders, and working directly with engineers through to delivery.

I’m embracing AI fully, with pragmatism. I’ve designed AI architectures, deployed AI-driven tools, written technical specifications covering RAG and NLP systems, and used agentic development workflows to move quickly. I treat AI as a force multiplier, while keeping human judgement firmly responsible for architecture, security, quality and business outcomes.
